In 1982, the Australian cinema landscape changed forever when The Man from Snowy River captured the hearts of the nation and the world.
In celebration of its 40th anniversary year, Symphony orchestras around the country will perform the award-winning score by Bruce Rowland live to screen for the World Premiere of this iconic film.
Joining in the celebrations will be the original stars of the film Sigrid Thornton and Tom Burlinson, who at each performance will give audiences some insight into the making of the film and discuss why it remains so close to their hearts.
Inspired by the Banjo Patterson poem, The Man from Snowy River tells the exhilarating tale of Jim Craig, an 18-year-old who, after losing his father, must prove himself in the harsh high country and win the respect of the rugged mountain men. Along the way, he discovers love, adventure and a secret hidden in the hills more precious than any treasure.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to revisit the beloved Australian classic on the big screen with a full Symphony Orchestra.
Following sold out performances at Hamer Hall and Sydney Opera House, the biggest show of Russell Morris’s career returns for a final encore performance.

Featuring Australian rock legend Jack Jones, combined with the might of the Southern Cross Symphony, a killer rock band, three powerhouse vocalists and a Youth Choir, ECLIPSE faithfully re-ignites the awe-inspiring sound of Pink Floyd in all its glory.
Comprising 40 musicians and singers live on stage, ECLIPSE – the name is taken from the closing track on Pink Floyd’s seminal album The Dark Side of the Moon – features an abundance of classic songs, including Money, Time, Wish You Were Here, Another Brick in the Wall (Part II), Us and Them, Mother, Have a Cigar and Comfortably Numb. Inducted into the US Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005, Pink Floyd were pioneers in the live music experience, renowned for their rich song-writing, illuminating themes, and elaborate live shows.
Formed in London in 1965, Pink Floyd gained an early following as one of the first British psychedelic groups. What made them stand out was their extended compositions and song-cycles, sonic experimentation and philosophical lyrics. They became a leading band of the progressive rock genre. By 2013, Pink Floyd had sold more than 250 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Their innovative albums, The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall were both inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
Pink Floyd first visited Australia in August 1971 towards the end of their year-long Atom Heart Mother World Tour.

The Muppet Christmas Carol in Concert
It’s time to play the music, light the lights and see Charles Dickens’ classic play out in felt — and with Michael Caine as Ebenezer Scrooge — accompanied by a live score. This is the first time that the film will play in Australia this way, after debuting in the UK last year. Sure, you might’ve watched it a thousand times when you were a kid, but you obviously haven’t seen it like this before.
The movie follows Dickens’s tale, with the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge given a change of perspective by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet to Come. Here, however, Jim Henson’s beloved creations join in, with Kermit the Frog playing clerk Bob Cratchit, Miss Piggy as Emily Cratchit, Gonzo narrating the story as Dickens (with help from Rizzo the Rat), Fozzie Bear as Fozziwig and Robin the Frog as Tiny Tim. Other Muppets show up, because of course they do.
The live orchestra will perform the feature’s original score as composed by Miles Goodman (Little Shop of Horrors), with songs by Oscar-winning songwriter Paul Williams (‘Rainbow Connection’).
Following multiple sell out tours of the UK, and Australia in 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022, Love Actually will be coming your way just in time for Christmas!
Featuring an all-star cast, the film has become one our all-time festive favourites. A full, live orchestra will perform the hit soundtrack with the film being projected onto a huge screen.
Make sure you kick off the holiday season by experiencing Love Actually like never before.
Chess The Musical
At the height of the Cold War, two chess masters meet in Bangkok to battle for the world championship, but their greatest contest is for the love of one woman.
Written in 1984 by ABBA songwriters Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, and Tim Rice, Chess tells a story of love and political intrigue, set against the background of the Cold War in the late 1970s/early 1980s, in which superpowers attempt to manipulate an international chess championship for political ends.
Two of the world’s greatest chess masters, one American, one Russian, are in danger of becoming the pawns of their governments as their battle for the world title gets under way. Simultaneously their lives are thrown into further confusion by a Hungarian refugee, a remarkable woman who becomes the centre of their emotional triangle. This mirrors the heightened passions of the political struggles that threaten to destroy lives and loves. Includes the international hit singles ‘I Know Him So Well’ and ‘One Night In Bangkok’. Other well-known songs from the score include ‘Anthem’, ‘Someone Else’s Story’, ‘Heaven Help my Heart’ and ‘Pity The Child’.
